Troubleshoot from your coding agent

When something is broken, your agent can diagnose it using knowledge about the platform and live system state.

This guide walks through diagnosing one failing service. The same flow applies to other problems.

Before you start

Just ask your coding agent

Give the agent the symptom and ask it to troubleshoot. For example:

Our nightly inventory job hasn't produced any output. Please find out why.

The agent then calls Heplon MCP server, and an agent within Heplon will troubleshoot the issue and report back. If your agent doesn't realize it should use Heplon for a question, just tell it to do so.

Look at live state

If you want to check live system state yourself, such as telemetry or logs, you can also do that by simply asking your coding agent.

When did the occasional 504 errors start?

The agent can inspect the running system but cannot change it.
