Watch Heplon open its first pull request
This tutorial walks you through connecting your first systems and seeing Heplon identify and fix a reliability or velocity issue for you.
What you need
- A Heplon account
1. Connect a system
Sign in to Heplon, open Connectors in the sidebar, and select Add connector. Each connector links to the relevant documentation page to help you connect it. Ensure that the connector shows 'Healthy' after you set it up.
At a minimum, connect your source code management and CI system. This allows Heplon to identify and fix issues based on code and CI data.
The more systems you connect, the better Heplon can identify and fix issues.
2. Let Heplon scan your systems
Heplon regularly runs its issue detectors over what you connected. This can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. You do not need to do anything in this step.
3. See a pull request in your repository
Once Heplon has identified an issue, it will open a pull request to fix it in the source code management system you connected. You can also see the issue in the Issues tab in Heplon.
After you merged the pull request, Heplon will confirm that the issue is fixed on its next scan of your system, and resolve the issue in Heplon then.
What you have now
You have connected Heplon to a system and seen it find and fix an issue. Heplon keeps watching your systems and opens further pull requests as it finds issues worth fixing.
